Eligibility :
Participants from all over the country - boys and girls born between 2013-2010 are eligible to participate in the Sofia Ekiden Marathon 2023. Participation in the kids relay is free for everybody!
Teams:
A team consists of 4 children (legs), 2 of them should be from the age group, born between 2010-2011, while the other two should be from the age group, born between 2012-2013. The relay can be freely mixed - boys and girls, with at least one participant of the opposite sex in the team.
Notice:
There is no restriction on the way legs are being distributed. Teams, consisting of only girls or only boys are not allowed to race.
Registration:
The teams can be registered at our website www.sofiaekidenmarathon.com - by downloading the Kids Relay Registration Form and filling in the names of the participants and their age groups. Applications must be sent to info@sofiaekidenmarathon.com
Distance:
The 2023 Sofia Ekiden Marathon will announce the Kids Champions from the ‘1-mile’ distance. The participants will be running a distance of 1609 m in 4 legs, with a length of 402 m each.
Starting Numbers:
Starting Numbers can be obtained from the Marathon office, located in front of Vasil Levski National Stadium on September 5th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm and on September 6th, 2023 from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.
Start:
The start of the first legs from the children's relay will be given at 9.05 am.
Awards:
The first three teams with the best timings in the race will receive awards.
